Why do certifications matter?
A certification is not website decoration: it is the difference between a system that lasts five years and one that has to be rebuilt in the second. This is what changes in your project.

You know who touches your system
No opaque subcontracting and no junior profiles learning on your project. The certified person is the one who develops it.
-
The system is left documented
Consistent naming, a tidy structure and a documented schema. If you ever work with another developer, they can pick it up without starting over.
-
Fewer surprises later on
Bad design decisions do not show in month one — they show when the database grows. Best practices exist precisely for that moment.
-
Upgrades without drama
Every new FileMaker release brings changes. Following the platform closely means migrations get planned rather than suffered.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is a Claris Certified Developer?
It is an official Claris certification, earned by passing a technical exam on the current version of FileMaker: data modelling, scripting, security, performance and integrations. It is not an attendance certificate — you have to pass it, and it is renewed with each major release of the platform.
How does that benefit me as a client?
The structural decisions on your project — how tables relate, how permissions are handled, how the system is prepared to grow — are made by someone who has solved that many times before. These are decisions you barely notice at the start and that determine what the system costs to maintain later.
Do you also work on existing projects?
Yes. A significant part of our work is taking over FileMaker applications built by others: reviewing them, fixing what is broken, tuning performance and continuing to develop them. We start with an audit so you get a clear picture of the current state.
What happens if you are no longer available?
It is a fair concern, which is why we hand projects over documented and with data in open formats. The application is yours: any certified FileMaker developer can continue it. The Claris partner network exists partly for this.
Do you work with clients outside Spain?
Yes. Most of the work is done remotely, so location is rarely a constraint. We work in English, Spanish and Catalan, and we are used to coordinating across time zones.
