What we build with, and why. Described in terms of what it gives your business, not acronyms.
What it looks like inside
Your data, connected once
This is what we design before writing a line: the FileMaker relationships graph. Hover (or focus) a table to see how it joins the others and your other tools.
Platform
-
Claris FileMaker 2026
The low-code platform we build most projects on. It puts a working first version in your hands within weeks, then lets us keep adjusting it while your team is already using it — instead of rebuilding the system every time a process changes.
- A working first version in weeks, not months
- One application for Mac, Windows, iPad, iPhone and browser
- Grows with you: from a single user to several hundred
- Per-user permissions, audit trails and automatic backups
- Over 1 million users worldwide
-
AI Integrations
We connect your application to language models so they handle the repetitive work: sorting incoming email, summarising long documents, pulling data off invoices or drafting replies. The AI works on your own data, inside your own system.
- Claude by Anthropic and GPT by OpenAI
- Local AI with Ollama, Llama and MLX: your data never leaves your network
- Automatic classification of email and documents
- Data extraction from invoices and delivery notes
- Meaning-based search across your own information
-
REST API & OData Integrations
Your application does not live in isolation. We connect it to the online shop, the ERP, your accountant or the invoicing platform, and open the data up to Excel and Power BI so management can look things up without asking you for a report.
- REST API: connect with any web service
- OData: live data in Excel and Power BI
- Bidirectional real-time sync
- OAuth 2.0 and API key authentication
- Webhooks to react instantly to external events
Why this technology and not another
The question is not which platform is best in the abstract, but which one solves your problem with the least friction. These are the reasons we almost always end up here for internal systems.
-
It fits your process, not the other way round
Off-the-shelf software makes you work the way another company imagined. Here the starting point is how you actually work, and the system changes when the process does.
-
Changes in days, not release cycles
Adding a field, a report or an automatic alert takes days. You are not waiting on a vendor roadmap or on the next major version.
-
The data stays yours
The application can live on your own server or in the cloud, and the data exports to open formats whenever you want. No lock-in to a closed format.
-
One tool instead of seven
Quotes, production, invoicing and follow-up in one place, on the same data. No more stray spreadsheets where nobody knows which copy is the right one.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What exactly is FileMaker?
It is a platform from Claris, part of Apple, for building custom business applications. Instead of programming everything from scratch it starts from a solved foundation — users, permissions, reporting, mobile access — and we build what your business needs on top. That is why delivery is measured in weeks rather than months.
Would a custom web application not be better?
It depends on the case, and we will tell you honestly. For internal operations such as quotes, production, stock and invoicing, FileMaker is usually faster to build and cheaper to maintain. For a public-facing product with thousands of anonymous users, a custom web build normally makes more sense. If yours is the second kind, we will say so.
Can it be used on mobile or away from the office?
Yes. The same application runs on iPad and iPhone through FileMaker Go, including with no signal: data syncs as soon as the connection comes back. There is also browser access for people who only need to look things up or approve something.
What happens to our existing Excel or Access data?
It gets migrated. This is a normal part of the project: we review your current spreadsheets or database, clean up duplicates and inconsistencies, and load the history into the new system so you are not starting from zero.
Does the AI you integrate send our data to third parties?
Only if you want it to. We can work with cloud services such as Claude or GPT, or run local models with Ollama or MLX on your own machine so the information never leaves your network. We decide based on how sensitive the data is.
What if we want to connect another tool later?
That is what the APIs are for. Through REST and OData the application can talk to your online shop, your accounting software or Power BI. Projects commonly start with one specific process and connect to the rest over time.
